Independence VR project takes you the journey through the Turkish War of Independence that it's main aim was to maintain complete independence and unconditional sovereignty, by using VR technology.

In demo application, the journey starts in Anıtkabir that is the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of the Turkish War of Independence and the founder and the first President of the Republic of Turkey.

In istanbul Scene, Kartal Steamboat (istimbot) takes Mustafa Kemal to SS Bandırma, while allied battleships are around Istanbul, May 16th, 1919. SS Bandırma became famous for her historical role in taking Mustafa Kemal Pasha (Atatürk) from Istanbul to Samsun in May 1919 that marked the establishment of the Turkish national movement.
